MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City Rep. Patrick Michael Vargas wants the indigent elderly, who are entitled to a social pension, to also be given a Christmas bonus.

Vargas filed House Bill No. 6693, or the proposed “Paskong Maligaya para kay Lolo’t Lola (A Merry Christmas for Grandpa and Grandma) Act,” which seeks to provide an annual yearend bonus for underprivileged senior citizens covered by the Expanded Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Act.
