Misamis Occidental distributes noche buena, media noche packs to over 300,000 families

MANILA, Philippines — The provincial government of Misamis Occidental conducted a province-wide gift distribution of noche buena (Christmas Eve) and media noche (New Year’s Eve) food packs for thousands of families.

In a statement, the provincial government said that Gov. Henry Oaminal Sr. allocated gifts for 180,000 families, Rep. Ando Oaminal donated 100,000 food packs, and Ozamiz City Mayor Indy Oaminal Jr. distributed goods to 40,000 families.

A kickoff event was held at the city gym in Lam-an, Ozamiz City on December 8, 2022, while pocket distribution events were held at different municipalities in the province.

“We want every Misamisnon to not have to worry about where and how they will get their noche buena and media noche feast,” said Oaminal Sr.

“Easing them of this burden will give them the opportunity to enjoy the festivities of this blessed holiday with their families,” he added.
