2 dead in Quezon road mishaps

LUCENA CITY – Two persons died in separate road accidents in Quezon province on Friday, the police said.
The Quezon provincial police on Saturday reported that Roel Bonsol was driving his tricycle along the national highway in Barangay (village) Pinagbayanan in Pagbilao town around 7 p.m. when his vehicle was hit by a truck driven by Luel Romeo Marcellana.
Bonsol sustained serious injuries and died while being taken to Quezon Medical Center in neighboring Lucena City.
Marcellana was placed under police custody.
Meanwhile, motorcycle rider Harold Abetria, 26, died when his vehicle crashed into the concrete center island in Barangay Ibabang Iyam in this city around 1:20 a.m.
Abetria was not wearing a helmet and sustained critical head injuries and died on the spot, the police said.
The report also said that no driver’s license was retrieved from the fatality.
