Having 275 members supporting a proposed measure is enough to ensure a majority vote and to overturn in the House a veto by a president.

The said bill is expected to be approved on second reading by Thursday. However, Makabayan lawmaker and Alliance of Concerned Teachers Rep. France Castro warned earlier that if President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. certifies the bill as urgent, it can be passed on final reading on the same day.
