Hold-up suspect hurt in Cavite shootout

LUCENA CITY – A robbery holdup suspect was wounded in an alleged shootout with police in Bacoor City in Cavite province on Tuesday, December 13.

The Region 4A police in a report Wednesday, December 14, said cops on patrol caught motorcycle rider Chelito Gloria while in the act of robbing Quibienzen Mabborang and Allan Verador, who were then delivering cigarettes in Barangay (village) Molino III around 12:40 p.m.

When accosted, the suspect fired at the policemen using a caliber .45 pistol but missed his target.

The cops fired back and hit the suspect who was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. The report did not specify the location of the gunshot wound.

The police are conducting further investigation.
