Minor earthquake jolts Zambales

An old lair of the communist New People's Army was discovered in this province, police said Monday, Nov. 28.

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — A magnitude 2.5 earthquake jolted Zambales at 7:19 a.m. on Monday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported in its bulletin that the tectonic earthquake’s epicenter originated 22 kilometers northeast of Botolan town.

Philvolcs said it had a depth of 12 km.
