1 dead, 1 hurt in heist
A fish vendor was killed while another was severely injured after two men took P80,000 worth of jewelry and fired at them in Parañaque City on Friday afternoon.
Romualdo Barida, 52, and George Perseveranda, 54, had just finished watching a cockfight and were on their way home on a motorcycle on Sucat Road when two unidentified men on another motorcycle shot them in front of Manila Memorial Park.
The robbers then grabbed a gold bracelet worth roughly P48,000 and a gold necklace worth P40,000 from the two and sped away.
Barida, who was hit in the chest, died on the spot while Perseveranda, who sustained gunshot wounds in the abdomen, was taken to a hospital. Nathaniel R. Melican
