MANILA, Philippines — Due to forced outages and derated capacities of several power plants, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) placed the Luzon grid under yellow alert on Tuesday.

The NGCP said that the Luzon grid would be under yellow alert from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., as the available capacity is at 11,522 megawatts (MW).
