/ 06:54 AM March 31, 2012

TRAFFIC snarled for an hour along a road in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City after a tanker truck rammed into a road railing then hit an electric post.

The tanker truck had just delivered aviation fuel to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport when the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Julie Canineso, the driver of the truck with plate number XNU-645, said it was fortunate that the tanker truck was already empty during the accident.

To avoid collision, the driver said he swerved the truck to the right side of the road only to hit a road railing then an electric post.

The impact caused the post to topple. The road became impassable because of the wires that blocked the road.
