2 alleged drug peddlers die in shootout with cops in Ormoc City
ORMOC CITY — Two suspected drug peddlers were killed in an alleged shootout with policemen during a drug bust in Barangay Cogon here on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Lt. Col Angelica Starlight Rivera identified the fatalities as Paolo Ceasar Pabingwit and Jocel Renan Cabahug.
Seized during the operation were about 130 grams of shabu worth P884,000.
Based on the investigation, Cabuhug, who noticed that he was transacting with a poseur buyer, got his firearm and aimed it at the policemen.
This prompted the authorities to shoot Cabahug. Pabingwit was also hit.
