11 cops hurt in Negros Occidental road mishap

BACOLOD CITY — Eleven policemen were injured Monday, Nov. 28, in a road accident in Barangay Caningay, Candoni town, Negros Occidental.
The injured were Patrolmen Jerome Tolentino, Joey Bana-ag, Eric Abela, Bryan Ambaja, Emam James and Jared King Dadivas, as well as Corporals Mark Jel Salazar, John Arevalo, Reggie Tacdoro, Noriel Vergara and Kenneth Valiao of the 604th Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Western Visayas.
The report said 16 policemen were conducting a road patrol when the brakes of their vehicle malfunctioned while it was going down a curvy road.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, which hit a road barrier.
The injured policemen were taken to the Candoni Rural Health Unit for treatment.
