LEGAZPI CITY — A village watchman was injured Monday in a shooting incident in Lupi town in Camarines Sur province.
Major Bienvenido Enciso, Lupi police chief, said Jason Marvida, 36, was inside a barber shop at 5:40 p.m. when two men shot him in Barangay Colacling.
Marvida suffered bullet wounds in his left chest, stomach, left palm and right arm and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
“He had an operation last night and is now recovering,” Enciso said.
Police recovered six empty shells and five slugs for a .45 gun and a bullet for a .22 pistol.
Enciso said investigation was ongoing to unmask the motive behind the incident.
