Manila Zoo reopens on Nov. 21

MANILA, Philippines — The public can now visit the Manila Zoo again, as it reopened on Monday after being rehabilitated.

Among the new attractions in the zoo are:
- African Lion
- White Bengal Tiger
- Lesser White Egret
- Indian Blue Peafowl
- Multi-Colored Stored Stork
- Doubled Wattled Cassowary
- Crocodile
- Ostrich
- Turtle
- Philippine Deer
The zoo also has a botanical garden.
Manila Zoo will operate from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a cut-off for entry of guests at 6 p.m. daily.
The admission fees are as follows:
- Adult and child: ₱150 for Manilans and ₱300 for non-residents
- Students: ₱100 for Manilans and ₱200 for non-residents
- Senior Citizens and PWD – 20 percent discount on prescribed fees
- Children 2 years old and below may enter for free
The ₱1.74 billion-worth rehabilitation of the five-hectare property began during the term of former mayor Isko Moreno.
The reopening of the zoo was previously set on November 15 but was rescheduled to November 21 to make way for final preparations.
