MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. arrived in Manila on Saturday night following his participation in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit in Bangkok, Thailand.
PR001, the chartered flight carrying the President, landed at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City at around 10:39 p.m.
The important message that he said he got from the summit was “the problems as we have identified them seem to be the same problems for most of the countries.”
“In other words, we have a consonance of views and analyses on the things that are to be of concern,” he said in his arrival speech.
“And furthermore, the solutions for that are things that we now have formulated,” he added.
According to the president, the global concern is the looming climate change issues.
He further shared that there were private firms that want to invest in the Philippines.
Marcos raised issues on food security, climate change, and global health at the Apec summit.
He also held bilateral meetings with various world leaders during the four-day Apec meet.
Marcos capped off his work trip by visiting the Filipino community in Bangkok.
