MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck a Pangasinan town on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The earthquake occurred 89 kilometers west of Agno town in Pangasinan at around 10:18 am.
It has a shallow depth of one kilometer and is tectonic in origin.
Instrumental Intensity I was reported in Bani and Bolinao in Pangasinan.
The tremor is unlikely to cause damage, and aftershocks are not expected.
