LUCENA CITY — Anti-illegal drugs policemen seized P1,360,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from an alleged “high-value” drug trafficker in Bacoor City, Cavite province on Thursday (November 17) night.

In a report, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A) said the combined operatives from the region’s drug enforcement unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and local policemen arrested Michael Angelo Cecilio in a sting operation in Barangay Molino VII around 8:30 p.m.

Authorities confiscated from Cecilio two knot-tied plastic bags of shabu weighing 200 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P1,360,000.

Police were tracking down the source of shabu peddled by the suspect.

Also confiscated from the suspect was a motorcycle believed to have been used in his illegal drug trade.

The suspect was detained and is facing a formal complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On Wednesday, the same police group also seized P2,580,000 worth of shabu and marijuana from two suspected big-time drug traffickers in buy-bust operations in Antipolo City, Rizal and Dasmariñas City, Cavite. INQ
