DOH logs 810 new COVID-19 infections; active cases down to 18,824
MANILA, Philippines — An additional 810 infections of COVID-19 were reported by the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, with active cases down to 18,824.
With this, the country’s COVID-19 caseload is now at 4,020,965 nationwide, with 3,937,709 recoveries and 64,432 deaths.
These new infections are lower than the average daily infections recorded from Nov. 7 to 13 at 1,296 and the recorded cases on Tuesday at 1,071.
Based on the tracker, Metro Manila continues to lead the list of regions with the most cases in the past two weeks with 2,945 cases, followed by Calabarzon at second with 1,772 infections, and Western Visayas with 1,413.
In terms of individual areas with the most cases, Quezon City leads with 657 infections, followed by Cavite with 618 and Davao Del Sur with 597.
