5 drug suspects busted in Rizal; P233K shabu seized

Police anti-narcotics agents nabbed two suspected drug pushers and seized over P95,000 worth of "shabu" (crystal meth) in Cardona town in Rizal province on Thursday.

LUCENA CITY – Five alleged illegal drug traders were arrested early Wednesday, November 16, and yielded over P233,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in Binangonan town in Rizal province.

The Police Regional Office 4A, in a spot report, said the members of the local drug enforcement unit collared Kenneth and Benidicto, both surnamed Anore; Rosalinda Bernardino; and John Christopher Bayuga at around 2:47 a.m. after they sold a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Calumpang.

The police confiscated eight sachets of meth weighing 30 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P204,000.

The report did not specify the relationship between the two Anores.

Authorities also seized two motorcycles believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Earlier, local policemen also busted John Nicko Delos Reyes in another sting operation in Barangay Libid at around 12:10 a.m.

The suspect yielded three sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P29,240.

All suspects are now in police custody and will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
