Village watchmen nab hold-upper in Laguna

Police authorities have arrested one of Laguna's most wanted persons in the province following a manhunt operation over the weekend

LUCENA CITY — Four village watchmen arrested Tuesday a security guard, who robbed a convenience store in Cabuyao City in Laguna province.

The Laguna police reported that alias “Razul,” from Guinyangan, Quezon, who was armed with a knife, entered a convenience store around 4:30 a.m. and ordered a male crew, Ricardo Calimoso, to open the cash register.

After taking P3,050 from the cash machine, Razul left and hailed a passenger jeepney to escape.

The crew ran after Razul, shouted for help, and alerted public security officers in the area.

The four village watchmen – Noel De Lara, Delfin Antioquia, Danilo Llagas, and Eric De Juan – arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen money.

Razul was turned over to the police for disposition.
