2 former drug surrenderers busted in Quezon

Over P330,000 shabu seized from 3 drug traffickers in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested Monday two former drug surrenderers and seized more than P49,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Mauban town in Quezon province.

Quezon police reported Tu.esday, Nov 15, that anti-illegal drug operatives, with a warrant, swooped down at 5:40 p.m. on the house of Antonio Tejada, 63, and Vilmor Pasamba, 42, in Barangay Mabato.

During the search, police found nine sachets of meth worth P49,920 in the street market and shabu-sniffing paraphernalia.

The report said the arrested suspects had once surrendered as drug pushers in the “Oplan Tokhang” anti-illegal drug campaign.

The suspects were detained and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
