MANILA, Philippines — It will be a warm, sunny Monday nationwide due to the easterlies, according to the state weather bureau.

(Because of the easterlies, most parts of the country will experience hot weather.)

(Today, fair weather is expected not only in Luzon but in the Visayas and Mindanao.)

Aurelio, however, said the easterlies could still trigger thunderstorms and light to moderate rains.

Pagasa did not raise any gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.

Coming soon: Amihan

Meanwhile, Aurelio said Northern Luzon may start feel the effects of the northeast monsoon or “amihan” in the coming days.

(The “amihan” is in. the vicinity of Taiwan  and is not yet affecting the country.)

(However, we expect it to affect  most parts of Northern Luzon by Tuesday or in the next two to three days.)
