Manila archdiocese: Continue wearing masks in church
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila urged parishioners to continue wearing masks inside churches despite the easing of the mask mandate in indoor spaces. In a circular dated Nov. 8, Manila Archdiocese Vice Chancellor Fr. Carmelo Arada Jr. asked priests to continue encouraging the churchgoers to wear face masks during liturgical activities and other gatherings, saying that it would be a “compassionate regard” to the elderly and vulnerable. “The pandemic difficulties stirred us to take care of each other and by this we will be known that we are disciples of the Lord,” he said. The archdiocese covers the cities of Manila, Makati, San Juan, Mandaluyong and Pasay.
