Pagasa: Fair, warm Saturday in Luzon and Visayas, some rain in Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines — The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring rain to parts of Mindanao and Palawan on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In its early morning update, Pagasa said the Soccsksargen and BARMM regions, Davao Occidental and the southern portion of Palawan will be affected by the ITCZ.

The rest of the country will have warm weather with possible rain showers due to the easterlies.

(The intertropical convergence zone or ITCZ will affect a large part of Mindanao, but the rains will not be as strong.)

(Luzon and the Visayas will have hot and dry weather due to the easterlies, with possible isolated rain showers.)

No low pressure areas or tropical cyclones are forecast to enter the Philippine area of responsibility within the next three days, Pagasa said.

No gale warnings are raised in any part of the country but Pagasa warned places affected by heavy rain of possible flash floods and landslides.
