MANILA, Philippines — Weather will be generally fair over most parts of Luzon and Visayas this weekend, according to the state weather bureau, while rain is seen to occur in Mindanao due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
Based on the weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued Friday afternoon, only thin cloud bands surround Luzon and Visayas although Eastern Visayas and Palawan, as well as Mindanao, may experience ICTZ-induced occasional rains showers.
Nevertheless, Pagasa said it has not observed any possible tropical cyclones that may enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
For Saturday, November 12, the state weather service said lower temperatures are likely over Puerto Princesa due to possible rain – around 25 to 31 degrees Celsius. Metro Manila and Laoag, however, may be warm at 24 to 32 degrees Celsius; Legazpi at 25 to 32 degrees Celsius; and Tuguegarao, 23 to 31 degrees Celsius. Baguio and Tagaytay will feel it at 17 to 24 degrees Celsius and 22 to 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Visayas and Mindanao were also forecast to experience relatively lower climate, with Tacloban, Zamboanga, and Davao possibly having temperatures between 24 to 32 degrees Celsius; Cebu and Cagayan de Oro, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius; and Iloilo, 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
No gale warning is currently raised over any part of the country, which means small boat operators and fisherfolk can safely sail, Pagasa said.
