LUCENA CITY — A worker died, and three others were injured on Thursday, Nov. 10, after they were electrocuted in Tiaong town, Quezon province, police said.

Arnel Dela Cruz, Ronel Dela Cruz, Jomel Benuza, and Christian Caalaman were installing at 3:10 p.m. street solar lights along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Talisay, when the solar light post hit the high-tension wire of the Manila Electric Company, resulting in the electrocution of the workers.

All victims suffered injuries from the jolt of electricity and were rushed to the Peter Paul Medical Center in neighboring Candelaria town, but Caalaman died along the route.

The police were still conducting further investigations.
