Lineman electrocuted in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A lineman of an electric cooperative in Quezon province was electrocuted while on the job in Pitogo town on Tuesday.

Pitogo police reported that Bryant Aviles, 26, an employee of Quezon Electric Cooperative 1, was trying to wrap an open live wire with electrical tape at the town municipal hall in Barangay Poctol at around 12:40 p.m.

However, the victim accidentally touched another exposed live wire that caused his electrocution, the report said.

The victim died while being rushed to the municipal health office.
