15 suspects nabbed in Mabalacat City drug den

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Authorities led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon (PDEA3) arrested on Thursday 15 people and confiscated some P89,700 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Barangay Dau in this city.

In a statement, the PDEA3 said the suspects were arrested at 9:26 p.m. during a buy-bust operation conducted with the Mabalacat police at a makeshift drug den.

It said the arrested suspects include 10 men and five women, 21 to 55 years old.

Allegedly seized from the suspects were eight pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 13 grams of suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked peso bill used by the undercover agent in the sting operation.

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
