MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.8 earthquake jolted Antique on Friday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The agency detected the quake at 7:16 a.m. and traced its epicenter 13 southwest of Anini-y, Antique.
The tectonic earthquake’s depth of focus was 20 kilometers.
Phivolcs reported that the earthquake was felt at Intensity I in San Jose de Buenavista and Culasi, Antique , which is defined by the agency as “scarcely perceptible.”
No aftershocks and damage are expected, Phivolcs said.
