MANILA, Philippines — No tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) through the weekend, the state weather bureau said Thursday.

“Sa susunod na tatlo o limang araw ay wala pa rin tayong inaasahang bagyo na maaaring mabuo o pumasok sa ating area of responsibility,” according to Raymond Ordinario, a weather specialist for the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(In the next three to five days, we are not expecting any tropical cyclones to form or enter our Philippine area of responsibility possibly.)

Pagasa earlier said that two to three tropical cyclones may still enter the PAR this November.

Friday weather

Nevertheless, Pagasa said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rain to several parts of the country on Friday, November 11.

According to Pagasa, Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Palawan, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate is forecast to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, are set to have fair weather, although partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may still occur.

Pagasa further said it did not raise any gale warning on seaboards nationwide.
