MANILA, Philippines — The COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila has declined to 7.8% as of November 7, from 9.5% last October 31, OCTA Research fellow Guido David said on Wednesday.
“Trends project to around 100 new cases per day and less than 5% positivity rate by end of November 2022,” David said in a Twitter post.

The COVID-19 positivity rate is the number of people who are positive for the virus among those who get tested.
“Healthcare utilization rate also remained low at 26% (as of November 7),” said David.
As of November 5, the reproduction number in NCR is low at 0.75, according to David.
Meanwhile the average daily attack rate (ADAR), or the number of people infected with COVID-19 per 100,000 individuals is at 1.54 per 100,000, with a one-week growth rate of -29%, added David.
