MANILA, Philippines —President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday met with officials of the Department of Energy (DOE) and other related agencies to brainstorm what steps to take to guarantee energy supply.
The Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) shared several photos of the meeting at Malacañan Palace.
“Nakipagpulong si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga opisyal ng Department of Energy at sa ibang kaugnay na ahensya upang talakayin ang mga plano ng administrasyon para siguruhin ang sapat na enerhiya sa bansa,” the OPS said in a Facebook post.
(The President met with DOE officials and other related agencies to discuss ways to ensure energy supply in the country.)
The OPS said the energy sector is a priority of the Marcos administration.
“Inaasahang isa ito sa mga tatalakayin ng Pangulo sa darating na Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit sa Cambodia,” the OPS added.
(The President is expected to tackle the energy sector in the coming ASEAN Summit in Cambodia.)
The President is set to travel on Wednesday to Cambodia to attend the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits.
