LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — At least 252 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the Ilocos region from October 30 to November 5, the regional Department of Health (DOH) said Monday, November 7.
Data showed that the new cases brought the average daily cases to 36, reflecting a 5.9 percent increase compared with the tally from October 23 to October 29.
Out of the new cases, one was tagged as severe and critical.
The regional DOH also confirmed two deaths due to the virus last week.
As of November 5, the healthcare utilization rate in the region remained at a “safe” level, with 38 of the 217 intensive care unit (ICU) beds for COVID-19 patients occupied.
At least 204 of the 1,283 non-ICU beds were also occupied, the DOH added. INQ
