LUCENA CITY — Five alleged notorious drug traders on the police watchlist in Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon provinces were busted on Sunday and Monday and yielded more than P188,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth).
In a report, the Regional Police 4A said the Batangas City police nabbed Teodoro Bobadilla during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cuta at 12:45 a.m. on Nov. 7.
Authorities seized two sachets of meth with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P41,400.
In Antipolo City, Rizal, anti-narcotics agents collared at 2:40 p.m. on Sunday Jhunie Ortega and Jhay-Ar Cañete during a drug sting operation in Barangay Muntindilaw.
The duo yielded eight sachets of meth with a DDB value of P81,600.
Anti-illegal drug operatives also arrested at 4:10 p.m. Madali Manao after he allegedly sold a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay San Juan in Taytay, Rizal.
The police found him with five sachets of shabu worth P40,800 as per DDB valuation.
Meanwhile, the police drug enforcement unit in Lucena City, Quezon, arrested at 1 a.m. Monday alleged shabu peddler Carlos Nailgas in Barangay Gulang-Gulang, Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, the city police chief, reported.
The suspect was carrying four sachets of meth worth P24,480 in the street market.
All arrested suspects were tagged as SLI (street-level individuals) on the drug watch list in their respective localities.
They were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
