MANILA, Philippines — The number of reported deaths due to Severe Tropical Storm Paeng has risen to 155, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said in its latest situational report on Saturday morning.
A total of 121 death have been confirmed while 34 are still for validation.(
Most of the deaths were reported in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (63) due to flash floods and landslides in Maguindanao del Norte.
Calabarzon has reported 34 deaths while Western Visayas had 33 reported fatalities.
The following regions also reported fatalities: Eastern Visayas, (5), Zamboanga Peninsula (4), Soccsksargen (4), Mimaropa (3), Cagayan Valley (2), Central Luzon (2), Bicol region (2), Central Visayas (2) and Cordillera Administrative Region (1).
Several regions in the country also suffered 129 injuries, while 34 remain missing.
