Canadian man nabbed for moletation

LUCENA CITY — A barangay councilor in Santa Maria town in Laguna province was shot and killed on Thursday, Nov. 3.

The Region 4A police reported that John Vispo, a councilman in Barangay Cabuoan, was in a store at 8:20 p.m. when he had an altercation with one Reynald Ikling.

The heated argument prompted Ikling to shoot Vispo repeatedly with a handgun.

Police said the gunman fled after the shooting and left the village official dead on the spot.

The investigators did not specify the cause of the argument.

A further investigation was ongoing, while a manhunt was launched to arrest the assailant. INQ
