MANILA, Philippines – The COVID-19 positivity rate in the country is at 10.9%, according to Octa Research fellow Guido David.
On Thursday, David said that up to 1,100 to 1,200 new COVID-19 cases are possible for Friday.
“[Department of Health] reported 782 new cases, 34 deaths, 1,058 recoveries. 18,392 active cases, 10.9% nationwide positivity rate. 186 cases in [National Capital Region]. Expecting 1100-1200 cases tomorrow,” David said in a Twitter post.
The 10.9% positivity rate is a slight increase from the rates David noted since October 31.
The nationwide positivity rates according to David are as follows:
- October 31: 10.3%
- November 1: 10.4%
- November 2: 10.6%
- November 3: 10.9%
