TUGUEGARAO CITY — Three bodies were recovered from the Cagayan River at Barangay Pared in Alcala town, Cagayan province, on Wednesday, November 2, authorities said Thursday.

Two bodies belonged to Felipe Pulido, 54, and his son Jonathan, 30—both fishermen.

The other body was identified as their fellow fisherman, Renato Tabarejo, 55.

Rescue workers said the three went fishing on Tuesday despite the rising river level amid incessant rains.

The three reportedly drowned in the swollen river.

Authorities said the fishermen’s boat was recovered before the bodies were discovered.
