Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits Cagayan
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A magnitude 5.2 magnitude earthquake rattled Cagayan at about 9:07 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in a report.
The earthquake was recorded 56 km deep at 33 km north of Babuyan Island in Calayan, Cagayan.
Phivolcs also detected a still undetermined number of aftershocks following the quake.
It was felt at the following intensities:
- Intensity III in Calayan, Abulug, and Aparri in Cagayan; Ivana, Uyugan, and Sabtang in Batanes
- Intensity II in Basco, Batanes.
- Intensity I in Claveria and Gonzaga in Cagayan
