MANILA, Philippines – Muntinlupa City Mayor Rozzano “Ruffy” Biazon took to social media to express his anger about a local public school being left in disarray after it was used as an evacuation center during the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.

In his Facebook post on Tuesday, Biazon showed pictures of a destroyed chalkboard, as well as litter laying everywhere.

Biazon explained that the local government typically avoid using schools as evacuation sites, as it disrupts learning and leaves facilities disorganized.

However, Biazon and the local government asked the Department of Education (DepEd) Division Office to allow them to use the school as an evacuation site, as other sites were already full. The DepEd Division Office allowed this.

(Yet what was returned? Damaged facilities and litter scattered around carelessly).

Biazon lamented the outcome, saying that the facility was funded by the taxpayers’ money. He vowed that those responsible will be held accountable.

Titiyakin kong may mananagot dito,” Biazon said.

(I am mad at whoever is responsible for this. I will make sure that they will be held accountable).
