PNP Calabarzon deploys over 7K personnel for ‘Undas’

The regional police of Region IV-A or Calabarzon deployed a total of 7,706 officers in time for “Undas” 2022, said the Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon on Monday.

MANILA, Philippines — The regional police of Region IV-A or Calabarzon deployed a total of 7,706 officers in time for “Undas” 2022, said the Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon on Monday.

According to PRO4A in a statement, the deployment of the said personnels started on Oct. 29, even during the ongoing search and rescue operations for Tropical Storm Paeng.

The said total was composed of 1,429 members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP).

Meanwhile, other agencies and 6,985 force multipliers were also deployed in the 584 cemeteries and 44 columbariums in the region, as well as transport terminals.

PRO4A Regional Director PBGen. Jose Nartatez Jr., for his part, said he had directed all personnel to intensify security operations and public safety plan during the observance of All Saint’s Day.

“We will provide assistance to the general public and ensure overall security since the event might be taken advantage by various threat groups, terrorists, and other criminal elements,” he said in the statement.

He also announced activating the Task Group (TG) Biyaheng Ligtas for both motorists and commuters who will be traveling through the Aguinaldo Highway in Cavite, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Laguna, Southern Tagalog Access Road in Batangas and other national highways in Rizal and Quezon provinces. Task Group (TG) Biyaheng Ligtas has been activated.

“We will also re-activate and implement our public safety services and increase our Police Assistance Desks (PADs) to provide support to the general public during this season to address the upsurge of commuters, motorists and travelers in order to prevent congestions, accidents, and other street crimes especially along routes leading to terminals, churches and cemeteries, major thoroughfares and other places of convergence,” he said.

The said police force then reminded the public to avoid carrying prohibited equipment inside cemeteries, as well as to be cautious from any untoward incidents and crime situations.
