Romando Artes named acting MMDA chief
MANILA, Philippines — Romando Artes will again head the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) as acting chief, Undersecretary Cheloy Garafil, the officer in charge of the Office of the Press Secretary said in a statement issued on Saturday.
He replaced Carlo Dimayuga III who was appointed only last August.
Last March, Artes was appointed by then-President Rodrigo Duterte as the MMDA chairman.
Artes, who is also a certified public accountant, first served as the MMDA assistant general manager for finance and administration in May 2017. In November 2021, he became general manager.
