She answered: “Inaasahan po ng ating chairman [Carlo Dimayuga III] na sisimulan na po ‘to before Christmas.”

PUV operators, Carunungan said, welcomed their plan, hailing it beneficial for the commuting public.

“Ang tugon po ng mga operators tungkol dito ay gusto naman… because of the convenience of passengers. There will be a proper designated babaan at sakayan po para sa kanila,” she said.

“For the jeepney operators din po (as well), it will help in lessening the wear and tear of their vehicles po,” she added.

The MMDA recently unveiled its construction plan of PUV stops to keep the safety of road users and instill road discipline.

Last Tuesday, Dimayuga and MMDA Acting General Manager Baltazar Melgar held a meeting with Quezon City government representatives and various jeepney operators at Barangay Commonwealth Hall.
