Continuous heavy rain since Thursday evening flooded many communities in Maguindanao provinces and Cotabato City on Friday.
In North Upi town, Maguindanao del Norte, photos shared by Bro. Fidel Talabon showed the San Isidro Labrador parish church in Barangay Nuro submerged in flood waters.
In Cotabato City, many streets are engulfed by at least ankle-deep waters. A netizen from Rosary Heights 11 cried for help as flood waters began to enter their home.
In Datu Odin Sinsuat town, Maguindanao del Norte, photos posted online by Brigada News FM-Cotabato showed flood waters rampaging through a building of the Kurintem Elementary School.
At 5 a.m. on Friday, the state weather bureau warned of the possibility of “light to moderate with at times heavy rains” over Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro, and Northern Mindanao regions.
