MANILA, Philippines — Several flights were canceled Friday due to inclement weather at their destination, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said.
In an advisory, the Miaa announced that the following flights for October 28 were called off:

- DG 6111/6112: Manila-Naga-Manila

Cebu Pacific
- 5J 703/704: Manila-Dipolog-Manila
- 5J 196/197: Manila-Cauayan-Manila
- 5J 373/374: Manila-Roxas-Manila
- 5J 887/888: Manila-Cotabato-Manila
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its weather bulletin issued at 5 a.m. Friday that Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae) will trigger rains over a large portion of the country as it approaches the Philippine landmass.

Also on Friday, various local government units suspended classes due to bad weather caused by Paeng.
