MANILA, Philippines – Several roads in Manila will be closed and rerouted for All Saints’ Day or Undas beginning October 31, said the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
The following is a list of closed roads in Manila from 10:00 p.m. on October 31 to November 2, as per MMDA’s traffic advisory:
- Aurora Boulevard (Dimasalang Road to Rizal Avenue)
- Dimasalang Road (Makiling to Blumentritt Road)
- P. Guevarra Street (Cavite Street to Pampanga Street)
- Blumentritt Road (A. Bonifacio Avenue to P. Guevarra Street)
- Retiro (Dimasalang to Blumentritt Extension)
- Leonor Rivera (Cavite Street to Aurora Boulevard)
For vehicles coming from Dimasalang Road that are supposed to go through Blumentritt, it will have to go through Rizal Avenue, said the MMDA. Vehicles going to the La Loma and Chinese cemeteries are advised to take the stretch of Rizal Avenue and J. Abad Santos Avenue.
Heavier trucks coming from A.H. Lacson that are supposed to go through Dimasalang Road should go through Yuseco Street to reach their destination, said the MMDA.
Meanwhile, for people visiting late loved ones in the Manila North Cemetery, the areas that will serve as parking spaces are as follows:
- Simoun Street (Dimasalang Road to Mayon Street), capacity of 150 cars
- Felix Huertas Street (Blumentritt Road to Aurora Boulevard), capacity of 100 cars
- Metrica Street (Dapitan Street to Makiling Street), capacity of 120 cars
- Oroquieta Street (Blumentritt Road to Aurora Boulevard) capacity of 100 cars
- Craig Street (Dapitan Street to Makiling Street), capacity of 120 cars
- Sulu Street (Blumentritt Road to Aurora Boulevard), capacity of 100 cars
