MANILA, Philippines — Consular services in all consular offices and in temporary off-site passport services sites will be suspended on October 31, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
The suspension is in accordance with the declaration by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. of October 31 as a special non-working day.
“In accordance with Proclamation No. 79 of the Office of the President declaring October 31 2022 as Special Non-Working Day, the Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) announces the temporary suspension of operations on Monday, October 31 2022, in all Consular Offices (COs) and Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS) sites,” the agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
Passport applicants with affected schedules at COs and TOPS will be accommodated on November 2. They must show their confirmed application packet, stating October 31 as their original schedule.
If the applicant is unable to make the new appointment date, another date within 30 days from November 2 may be set.
Meanwhile, applicants with confirmed appointments at DFA-Aseana will be accommodated on November 2. They will receive an email to confirm their new appointment schedule.
Authentication applicants with confirmed appointments in other COs will be served within 30 days from October 31. They will just have to present their confirmed appointment packet indicating October 31 as their original schedule.
