Bongbong Marcos appoints 2 CA associate justices, one CTA associate justice
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has named two new Associate Justices of the Court of Appeals (CA) and an associate justice of the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), Malacañang confirmed on Thursday.
Office of the Press Secretary officer-in-charge Underseretary Cheloy Garafil said Marcos appointed Selma Palacio Alas and Wilhelmina Jorge-Wagan as associate justices of the CA.
Meanwhile, Corazon Ferrer-Flores was appointed as an associate justice of the CTA.
Malacañang said Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo administered the oath of office of the newly-appointed justices.
“The Palace and the entire nation wish them well,” Garafil said in a statement.
