LIST: Class suspensions on Thursday due to Tropical Depression Obet

MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) suspended classes in selected public and private schools on Thursday, October 20, due to inclement weather and the threat of Tropical Depression Obet.

Despite being outside the Philippine area of responsibility, Typhoon Neneng (international name: Nesat) still prompted cancellation of classes in Cagayan Valley due to its effects and damage, said the Philippine Information Agency Region 2.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has hoisted Signal No. 1 over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and the northeastern portion of mainland Cagayan (Santa Ana and Gonzaga) due to Tropical Depression Obet.
