MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted the Dinagat Islands on Thursday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs detected the earthquake at 2:48 a.m. and traced its epicenter six kilometers southeast of Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 111 kilometers.
Phivolcs reported no intensities.
No aftershocks and damage are expected, state meteorologists said.
