Ex-Palawan gov, 4 others ordered arrested for journalist’s slay

MANILA, Philippines—The Palawan Regional Trial Court Branch 52 on Tuesday ordered the arrest of former Palawan Governor Joel Reyes and several others in connection with the death of journalist and environmentalist Gerry Ortega.

Aside from Reyes, the court also issued a warrant for the arrest of incumbent Coron, Palawan Mayor Mario Reyes Jr. and former Palawan Provincial Administrator Romeo Seratubias and provincial government employees Arturo Regalado and Percival Lecias.

Ortega was killed in January, 2011.
